UF Law’s Application Status Online

As an applicant to UF Law, you can monitor the status of your application through the Application Status Online (also referred to as ASO). The ASO will allow you to check your application status throughout the admissions process and confirm receipt of materials such as resume, personal statement, and letter(s) of recommendation. In order to protect every applicant’s confidentiality, status check requests over the phone cannot be granted.

Within two business days after submission of the online application, you will receive an email from UF Law* acknowledging receipt of your application and providing a username and temporary password to access the ASO.

*Important: Email filters may direct correspondence from law.ufl.edu and ufl.edu addresses to All Mail, Junk, or Spam folders. Please check these additional folders and adjust your email settings to route our emails to your Inbox.To ensure receipt of all notifications from UF Law, please contactadmissions@law.ufl.eduwith any updates to your email or mailing addresses. Applicants are strongly encouraged to use an email address other than their undergraduate institution email address.

Additionally, you should receive a second email, from the University Admissions Office, 5-7 days after submitting your LSAC application. Please follow the instructions to set up your credentials for your MyAdmissions page which is aUniversityapplicant account where you will be able to view your UFID# andsubmit the Residency Declaration. You are advised to complete the Residency Declaration as soon as possible to avoid delays should you be offered admission. Should you see a general request for transcripts on MyAdmissions, you may disregard. You will submit all transcripts through LSAC.

Please Note:The MyAdmissions account isnotthe same as the ASO (above). Your law school application status is reflected only on the ASO.

ASOIntermediate Statuses

Below are the statuses you may see prior to receiving a final decision. Please note that status updates are not automated and may not reflect the real-time status of your application. Final decisions are not shown on the ASO but are indicated as File Review Complete – Decision Made. Your actual decision notification will follow via email within 24-48 hours.

Application Received/Pending Verification:Your application was received, and Admissions is currentlyverifying documents. This process can take 10-14 business days.

Application Incomplete/Missing Required Documents:Your application is missing required items (e.g. personal statement, resume, character and fitness documentation, letter of recommendation, or an answer to a question within the application). Watch for email with details. This status also applies if your CAS (Credential Assembly Service) report from LSAC is missing. Note:The CAS report is not released until an LSAT scoreandwriting sample are available OR until we internally waive the LSAT for students applying with a GRE score only or through Gator Scholars.

Application Ready for Review:All documents required to begin review have been received. You will be notified if additional items are needed.

Application Under Review:The Admissions Committee is currently reviewing your application. Length of review times will vary. You will be notified via email when a decision is reached.

Waitlisted: You have been offered a place on our Waitlist. Please refer to the Waitlist FAQfor more information.

UF Law anticipates admitting the first round of students in mid-November followed by a second round in mid-December with rolling admissions thereafter. While the length of time from receiving your application to issuing a decision can vary, a 6-8 week review process is typical.
